Seeing the band in concert and setting up an interview led to the discovery of new music!

The Venue
I was thrilled not only to be attending the Gemini Syndrome concert, but also, once again, to step foot inside Cleveland’s The Odeon, a formerly very popular concert venue that closed many years ago. The last time I had visited The Odeon was in the early 2000s when I was writing for a music magazine and was in attendance to cover the latest MTV tour featuring Andrew W.K. and Simple Plan, amongst others. With the revival of The Flats district in the city, The Odeon reopened its musical doors this past summer. On the Cuyahoga River and in the heart of newly constructed apartments and restaurants, this venue is perfect if you want an up-close feel to the musicians you love.
The Music
Gemini Syndrome, currently on tour with Avatar, is a hard rock / alternative metal band with a very appealing sound, even to those who might not believe they like “hard rock.” I have played the song Stardust for friends who only listen to classic and softer rock, and they agreed that the song was not what they expected, as the song is easy on the ears and yet somehow very gripping. The lyrics, the beat, the tune—and, of course, lead singer Aaron Nordstrom’s sexy, brilliant voice—lend to the allure of that song. The fans of Gemini Syndrome greatly look forward to the release of a new album set to release early next year.
The Concert
Gemini Syndrome + The Odeon + Interview with Aaron Nordstrom = A Fun-tastic Night. The band performed an incredible and lively show in which the audience was fully engaged. I have seen the band twice; both times, I left feeling positive about life. On stage, Aaron has a way of connecting with the audience through his lyrics, appreciation, and his Zen-like calming presence. Aaron is an interesting guy with an inspirational background. Find out more in my interview with him.
New Music Adventure
One thing leads to another. In my mission to see Gemini Syndrome in concert and interview Aaron before the show, my new music adventure began (check out the post here). I learned about BlankTV, several new-to-me artists, and one of the opening bands for Avatar and Gemini Syndrome, a band named Kevlar.
